First of all, the Royal Guard is a guild that has been well thought out before it actually came into being. We wanted to start a guild that focuses not only on the guild itself, but on the community too. We (the original starting members) have been in prevous guilds that started out with great ideas, but when they got too big, those ideas faded away since the idea now turned to rank and, the focus went to the higher levels of the guilds leaving the lower levels to fend for themselves. We are in high hopes that this guild will be a great example to other guilds ingame. There are too many guilds out there that are more concerned with ranking. Ranking means nothing more than how many members they have... big deal!! We would rather grow slowly and be selective of the members that we get. We consider ourselves an extended online family and each and every member of the guild is a part of that family. We welcome any mature players that believe in chivalry as well as fair play. If you think that you can help others when you have the chance, be chivalrous, be honest, play fair and have a good sense of humor then you have a home with us.
It is our hopes that we will enlist outstanding members of the community to become a member of our family and team. Ones that will shine and reflect the Guilds name. We wish to enlist members that enjoy PVE, PVP and GVG. Our guild is a continual work in progress and we would like you to bear with us while we grow. We hold regular Staff meetings as well as full guild meetings, allowing ALL members to have their voices heard. This guild does not just belong to the guild leader, but to everyone in the guild. We eventuall will have a quarterly newsletter for members and we like to hold guild events too when there is enough participation.
We here at the Royal Guard are a very close knit group, a family. We banter back and forth in Guild Chat, ventrillo and even on the telephone. We help each other and community members, but foremost we respect one another as well as other members of the community and we expect the same from new members into our Guild. Stopping here and registering in our forums is your first step in the application process. Please register with your ingame name that will be in the guild. From there, you will then need to speak to one of our staff members. Please keep in mind that registering here in our forums is not a guarantee that your application will be accepted. Everyone who is accepted into the guild will go through a probationary period to see if this guild really is for you. Please feel free to offer your suggestions on how we might improve, as this is your guild too! If you are looking for a guild to join, you are mature, adult, want an active extended family, have a great sense of humor, like to help others, have a sense of honor and chivilry, and dont mind following our rules (which we do adhere to strictly), then you may have a home with us.
We take on at least 5 new members each month. These members must be active and dedicated, hence they must be at least lvl 20+. All of our current members are extremely active in game as in guild chat. It is almost always busy. We help each other as much as possible and are always there for each other. We treat each other with the utmost respect and expect the same in return. We also treat the community with respect and honour unless that respect and honour has been breached by any given person. We do not tolerate KSers, Harrassers or Abusers and report it readily. Now that you have read this much and think your hand fits our glove, please go on to the rules and guidelines and read further. We will have promotions and ranks in our guild that must be earned and there are rules and guidelines posted. Please DO read them! They are subject to change if we decide there needs to be some fine tuning done. We are sure there will be some of that! We will expect ALL guild members to comply with all rules posted. We are in hopes that you will enjoy your time with us. We want this to be a fun group!
We will be setting up a ventrillo or teamspeak server for pvp, dungeons or general chat. Anyone that wants to go into pvp or dungeons as a guild team should have Vent running. Even if you dont have a head set this should be ok. You can set the sound to come from your speakers and at least you can hear commands and/or information as to what the group is going to do. Its awful hard to type and run or fight at the same time. Its not required that you get Ventrillo or Teamspeak or to use it. But it will make your pvp experience that much more enjoyable.
